Artifort have been a household name in Europe for decades and are the producers of this original Pierre Paulin Le Chat lounge chair finished in black and white! Introduced in 1967, this gorgeous chair sports this highly psychedelic fabric from Jack Lenor Larsen which enhance the lines of this wonderfully flowing chair.

An elegant yet simple design, it very much evokes the era in which it was first conceived and utilized modern ways of thinking such as the early forms of ergonomic design – the shape or form of the chair fitting to the human body – to make it more comfortable; and this it has done well!

Individual Characteristics

As a newer, used, example, the condition of this chair is very good. The fabric is in great condition with only some very minor bobbling occurring and the aluminium plates are only showing wear expected with the gentle use it has experienced.

The label found on the side of the chair authenticates it and confirms that it is a newer example.

Through Artifort’s many years, it has collaborated and nurtured many renowned designers and one of these is Pierre Paulin. Due to this, those in the know, know the furniture pieces he designed are ones to be revered and are respected by collectors.
