Botticino Marble Herman Miller Original Vintage Eames La Fonda Coffee Table
A simply stunning example of a beautifully veiny Botticino marble topped Eames La Fonda coffee table for Herman Miller is dying to find and light up a new home. The La Fonda series was short lived in the La Fonda Del Sol restaurant designed by Alexander Girard, but the tables and chairs that came from it are iconic.
Offered in a couple of different finishes, the coffee table was perhaps one of the most popular item from the La Fonda range and was made even more sought-after by the addition of a range of beautiful marble tops. The most commonly found finish is Carrara marble; but this particular example, finished in sumptuous Botticino, is the premium option and it is easy to see why.
The table is in a very good vintage condition. The marble finish is exquisite though may show some small signs of age on it through some slight pitting, albeit very small and the same can be said for the original chromed base.
The black rectangular label on the underside of the table top indicates this table was produced between 1970 and 1984.
The Eames La Fonda range have always been highly sought-after; the chair and table designs that came from it have all retained a strong investment value. This particular example of such an exquisite version of the Botticino marble topped La Fonda coffee table will definitely prove to be a great investment piece.
